Crashes in selenitic age

At first everything played smoothly and there were no bugs or glitches. However, in the Selenitic Age the game crashed. When I tried to re-open it went to the linking screen, showed a brief flash of the game and then went back to the linking screen. This just continued happening over and over.
For 6.99 I expected higher quality performance. Now I likely have to re-start the game, and will lose all my progress up to that point. Very disappointing.
