Totally great game. No issues whatsoever on my new iPad. You have to use your brain to play this game, so I think the people writing poor reviews probably have no thinking skills or imagination. If it hurts to think dont buy this game. If you want to relax and immerse yourself into a whole new world of great visuals and challenging puzzles then jump right in. This game is definitely 5 star Jack!

Real Myst, all I can say is WOW. I played the original Myst way back, and was amazing then. If you want a challenge with puzzles, this is the game to start with. As Riven is the second game in this 5 game series. No holding of your hand to get you through PUZZLES like the games of today. Ubisoft became what it is today because of Myst and the Miller brothers, Randy and Robyn. A great family game, intriguing story line, and concept of linking books to worlds written with the intricate Dini language. Mystery awaits. Oh and the soundtrack in this game adds much to the mood and experience. Immerse yourself, youll remember for years to come like myself.

Purchased to keep myself entertained during a cross-country flight. Havent even been able to play the game once because it wont load. I want a refund!

Not worth the money crashes every time at the linking stage so you never get to enjoy it, love the game when I played it in the past but come on plz fix .....refund !!!!!!!!!!

The classic game was moving through static images, this new version is awkward first person walking with no option to play it the original way. I want a refund!! Also, it crashes on start up at least 50% of the time.

After playing this game many years ago on a PC, its a pleasure to see it again on an iPad. It works perfectly (on an iPad Air). I played the game through with much enjoyment.

I didnt quite beat this 18 years ago as a kid, so am back to try and relearn the puzzles and complete the game. So many great memories from one of the most popular games from the 90s. It runs fantastic on the iPad Air. I hope they port over Riven to the real-time rendering as well.

I never got far with original Myst for PC, because I could not get over the snapshot based way of moving through the world. I love realMyst. Amazingly immersive worlds (ages) with plenty of satisfying puzzles to sole.

Always crashes on the initial loading screen; Im using an ipad 2 with ios 7.

Kept crashing and crashing and crashing. Never had an app do that, very annoying.

When they say that "This is not your fathers Myst" they were bang on. The game my father raved about was amazing with lots of puzzles and great storyline. This current one is boring and an absolute waste of money. I uninstalled it within 20 boring minutes. Total garbage! $7 for this? It isnt worth 7 cents.

Really disliked the navigation on this one. Enjoyed the original years ago but gave up on playing this version

I loved playing this with my kids so long ago, and having forgotten all the solutions it was a great pleasure to play it again on the iPad 2. The continuous movement is far better than the original static images. Much more intuitive and immersive. Looking forward to Riven and, I hope, even more of the Myst games.

Awesome! I had never played Myst as a kid so its great they made an iPad app. I kind of expected it to be buggy or stilted or crash a lot, but it was never any of those things! Not a single jerky movement or app crash during the entirety of the game. The game was fun, maybe not as challenging as I would like as an adult, but very good. Dow loading Riven now. One critique - its really quite dark. I have to close all the curtains, turn off the lights, and turn my screen brightness all the way up whenever the gameplay is happening in an indoor location just to see the screen.

Really missed playing this game! Would rate 5 stars but freezes at mechanical age book! Please fix and Ill rate 5 stars! iOS 9 on iPad Air

I was excited to play, but near the end of the first level the game freezes when you try to collect the books for the subsequent levels. Very upsetting that there was been no update to the game in 2+ years. Had to delete and request a refund :(

This title, one of the great games, suffers on the iPad. The original Myst would play much better. Touching continually to move gets annoying very fast. Tapping to move to the next location like in the Room would make the play much easier. Also, no incremental hint system. Also, the game was buggy to begin with. The animations didnt work. Then it seemed to settle down. Play the original on the PC. Still one of the great puzzle games.
