Ive been playing for over an hour and just cant get the hang of this navigation. Its awkward and clunky and Im totally frustrated with how hard it is to get where I want to go. If you dont approach something juuuuuust right, you have to back up and turn around and try all over again. Its just too hard to get around and this is really interfering with my enjoyment of the game. Im one of the ones who played Myst way back in the day on cds and loved it, but this version is nothing more than an exercise in frustration. Im happy for everyone who has played this iPad version and loved it, but apparently, Im not going to join their ranks. Its beautiful and haunting, but just too frustrating. I want to spend my time enjoying a game and solving a mystery, not struggling to navigate.
Developers - check out XON for a 3D game with elegant and intuitive controls. Can you make Myst more like that? Oh, that would make me so happy!
